Life writes the best comedy, you only need to open your eyes.
There are some unwritten rules some clothes look better on the hanger, the minimum of vases required in your house should be ten, to be British you must go out 'naked', cycling is not good for your heart, there is never a loo when you need one and you can't escape unwanted entertainment in public transport.
A collection of humorous short stories about everyday life.
You may also like No Wings Attached and Candlelight Sinner, a paranormal romantic comedy series; no vampires, no werewolves, only the odd human with some supernatural powers.

This is about a single girl in London, ala Sex in the City, but it's also Seinfeld-ish in that nothing really happens most of the time. In a good way-the character can make a trip to the grocery store entertaining by commenting on the other customers (with just the right touch of snarky.) She's also a likeable character who is a little hapless. She's the one who always just misses the bus, gets chased by wasps, has the beer spilled on her. And keeps forgetting girl lessons like don't drink several cups of tea and a gallon of water before going to try on jeans.Very cute, funny and definitely worth reading. It's more like a collection of humor columns about real life than a collection of short stories.

Excuse me where is the exit? edition by Stella Deleuze Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I purchased this book awhile ago, but keep coming back to re-read it, as it's well written and a hilarious romp with situations that make you laugh out loud.
Murphy rules in this collection, which has fun with the minor miscues and mishaps that happen in everyday life. While it sometimes seems that everything that can go wrong, does , they are all normal kinds of problems. Some are unique to women (either one of those things that wouldn't bother most men, or that a man would never encounter). If you haven't experienced most of these things, you'll know someone who has.
Humor requires a tough balancing act. A typical approach is to exaggerate in some way. Depict the stupid or clumsy as stupider or clumsier. Make everything bigger than life (just a little over-the-top), yet recognizable as true to life. Deleuze's exaggeration comes, not in the events that go wrong, but in the sheer number of tiny mishaps that accumulate. It's a more subtle humor than the over-the-top bigger, badder, or sillier. You might not have many laugh-out-loud guffaws, but you'll still find the stories funny (as long as they aren't happening to you), as those numerous chuckles accumulate.

This delightful read takes us via the short story express to that blythe place that makes life not only bearable but charming. Having read the book I really liked it but believe the author is holding back the best for later. Her humor is refreshing and bright, and sadly missing in too many places.
Every woman, with the exception of the disciplined and svelte, will recognise herself in Stella's hilarious tales. We identify with her shock at being unable to squeeze into the too-tight-jeans she's chosen. `Where did that roll of fat come from?' she asks the changing room mirrors. In these tales, we get a taste of a Londoner's everyday life. Wanting exercise, fresh air and a delightful slice of nature, Stella battles London traffic. Only to be set on by dogs in the park. And then there's the temptation to enjoy a pint or two when there won't be a loo in sight for the next x number of miles. Enjoy a night at the pub with Stella and her mates. Laugh at yourself, laugh with Stella. Where's The Exit is a terrific read.
I loved this book! The writer uses the 2nd person point of view to put the reader into the character's shoes and it works. Women who are reading can identify with the main character in these cute stories. What woman hasn't gone shopping for clothing only to find that nothing looks good or fits right, then finally finds the right fit after numerous attempts, only to have something else snag her? Who hasn't planned a shopping trip, only to have the realities of life interrupt throughout the trip?
I especially loved the story about starting a blog, since I myself have just recently begun blogging. For those who aren't technologically smart, it can be quite a challenge, especially when it comes to dressing up the place to make it look attractive. You have an idea in your head, but just maybe that idea is hard to achieve without technical no-how.
Good job, Stella! I look forward to reading No Wings Attached!
